Electrification is a concept that everyone has probably heard of by now, a concept that has already been conjugated up in all cases in the media and public debate. As in any case, there are supporters as well as opponents, arguing that it is a passing trend.
In Europe, the battle against pollution and the reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere is an everyday reality. Clean drives are no longer the dream of the future, but the present, in which electric propulsion in the vehicles we drive every day is ideally suited.
Until a few years ago, walking around car dealerships, it was hard to find an offer or even hear about an electric car in an advert. Now, much has changed, the media are full of advertisements for zero emission cars, and every manufacturer has at least one or more models of electric car models to choose.
There are currently around 6 million electric cars on the road in Europe, and in some cases the number of electric cars sold in a given market is higher than that of combustion-powered cars. The growth rate of the electric car market in Europe is currently around 50% year-on-year.
Over the next 8 years, the number of electric cars is forecast to grow from current 6 million to 65 million by 2030 and almost double in the next 5 years to reach 130 million by 2035.
At the same time, Europe is expected to have at least 65 million charging points, mostly located in private homes.
Action is joining the ranks of companies supporting the development of electromobility in Europe by adding electric vehicle charging solutions to its product range. The range includes charging stations popularly known as wallboxes, portable chargers, cables and a wide variety of accessories.
